Gozo
Though it was never published...I meant to prepare everyone for the break in blog posts over the summer. In all the "goings on" around here no one had time to get these posts online. Jenny went to stay with Gozo all summer and she added some information in the updates post. Gozo is a seven pound Maltese. We did not meet until the end of the summer but hopefully I can get a picture of us at some point.

New friends
Today was the warmest day of the week so I got pretty hot out there. I spent a while laying on the floor panting when we got home. We are just watching a movie again tonight. It is another funny one. The best kind! Other than action movies! Ooohh, and Transformers 2 will be coming out soon, that will be so cool! Anyway, mom has to work part of the day tomorrow and Jenny will be going to a disc dog competition all day in the far out suburbs. I will get some good quality nap time in while they are gone.

Show and share
Today I had a big adventure! I went to work with mom and got to go back to show and share in the orange room!! That's a classroom at the church in the School for Little Children. There were about 20 four and five year olds. They all wanted to pet me at the same time which was so overwhelming! I got a little nervous with everyone coming at me all at once, but mom was there with me. Each of the kids had treats for me but they all wanted to see me at the same time instead of waiting to take turns. I got to show off my circus tricks and they said I did such a good job I could go on to Kindergarten because I learned so much this year. A parent brought another dog in and I was so excited with everything going on that I ran out of the classroom! I spent the rest of the day in mom's office, mostly sleeping. I had so much fun today!!

Small dogs
Tonight I was able to go out for a nice long walk. We headed north but stayed near the lakefront. I saw a few dogs but no one wanted to play with me. I got to climb on the rocks more tonight since mom showed me how last week. The view was pretty. On our way home I ran into Piper, a mini-daschund puppy. She was so cute and small. I LOVE small dogs. We went through the park and beach area to get back to our building and met a West Highland Terrier named Blas.
I really wanted to run and play with him. I wish every beach could be a dog beach. After I hopped all around Blas I paused to chew a stick. We made our way back home soon after that because I have a big day tomorrow!!

Public transportation
Tonight was another laid back night at home. Apparently everyone is tired from work stuff this week. I'm not sure what that means ("work"). Jenny did not even get home before mom today. Something about walking around with Karl downtown? All I know is she said "walking around" and I wasn't there! Why didn't I get to go on that walk? She tells me I can't go on the train with her but I don't know what kind of rule that is...seems silly. I would love taking the train! So many people to play with on the long ride downtown. There would be so much to smell too!! I may want to lick the floor or seats on the bus and train because of all those smells. Mom and Jenny say that is gross (what do they know). I don't know why dogs are not allowed on buses and trains. I would be very good and probably make people's day by visiting with them. Chicago has some odd rules.
After everyone was back home we decided to watch a funny movie. It was rainy all day and night so it was fun to stay in for a bit. The weather has been so strange this week but I hope tomorrow is nicer and I can get out to see more dog friends in the evening.

Friends & neighbors
Tonight I got to play with one of my neighbor friends for a while on my after work walk. I was so excited to see Chase that when I saw him up the street I dropped down on the sidewalk waiting for him to get back to our block. We had a lot of fun chasing eachother and wrestling. Our leashes get all tangled up when we do that but there is no safe area to play off leash there because of the very busy street. Eventually we had to walk up the block a little since Chase lives in the building right next to us and they were heading home. Once we got to his building we decided to play some more and I found a stick to chew on. We went back and forth sharing the stick (okay, so we kept stealing it from each other). When I had the stick Chase barked right in my face! After a couple minutes we had each chewed the stick into small pieces so there wasn't much to steal away. I finished walking after Chase went home and the rest of the evening was pretty normal. Pictures will be added soon.
